Closet challenge · 10 days
10×10
10 pieces, 10 outfits, 10 days. The remix sprint.
The rules
- Choose 10 pieces (including shoes; often 1-2 accessories too).
- Create 10 distinct outfits over 10 days — remixes, not repeats.
- No shopping during the challenge.
- Photograph or log each look — the grid is the payoff.
- At the end, note which pieces carried the most looks.
Why it works
The 10×10 is the fastest proof that interchangeability beats quantity: ten well-chosen pieces produce ten distinct looks without effort. It is also the best duplicate detector you will ever run on yourself.
Armoiria runs this challenge natively — streaks, outfit logs, and wear counts that make the checklist fill itself: armoiria://challenges?preset=10x10
The checklist
Print it, stick it inside the closet door, tick as you go.
- Picked 10 pieces that all share a color story
- Sketched 10 outfit combos BEFORE starting
- Logged all 10 looks (photo or written formula)
- Tracked which piece appeared in the most outfits
- Identified the piece that only made one look — retire candidate?
- Shared the 10-look grid
Frequently asked questions
Do shoes count in the 10?
Yes — shoes are pieces. Most 10×10 grids include 2 pairs (one casual, one that dresses up).
Can I repeat an outfit?
The spirit is 10 distinct remixes, but nobody is coming to arrest you. A repeated full outfit means you found a uniform — which is also data.
